CJAM is facing the possibility of losing it's current broadcasting frequency at 91.5 on the Fm dail.  For details, check out this article in the windsor star, and send a message to the CRTC, expressing your support for cjam.

  1. Here's what I sent. I hope it's the right message.

"I wouldn't really call this a complaint. I would just like to express my support for CJAM at 91.5 FM at the University of Windsor. The station is in danger of losing it's broadcasting frequency to an American station. I think that this is a bad move, because the station currently has a great FM residence next to popular stations such as 88.7 FM. CJAM plays very little mainstream content and provides some important musical diversity to radio presets all over Windsor. For Canadian listeners in Windsor and Essex County it is one of the few non-American stations available to us in an American dominated media. The userbase shock that comes from a frequency switch would hurt the station's already modest-by-design following and any reduction in broadcasting range would upset many university students that may have homes in south Windsor or Tecumseh and are already on the cusp of reception. Please consider this matter fairly for both sides of the river, thank you. Jake Henkie"
